Our wild bunch work across WCSL and ALC projects, meet them here…

Stephanie Quinn
Ecologist
Stephanie is the camera trapping woodland mammal of the team, infra-red is probably her favourite colour, maybe followed closely by leafy green! While she ain’t a square, she does like a botanical survey quadrat, but is equally comfortable behind binoculars counting seabirds. She’s great in the field and equally drives her biodiversity planning and GIS desktop like a (zero carbon!) sports car!

Alan Lauder
Director (Wildlife Conservation & Science Ltd) and Principal (ALCnature)
The gaffer…or as some jocular types have said…’Wing Commander’…Alan brings 35 years in ecology, nature conservation and countryside management to the party. He’s done his time in strategy, managing change, and in policy, so if you need a re-think, he can probably lead it for you. Birds to butterflies he does them all and can probably train you and your team if you want. He’s a straightforward Scot and likes a challenge, probably why he likes working with film and TV projects getting them the best locations to work with, solutions to environmental obstacles, and making sure they don’t blow up the rare plants!

Rozanne Bell
Projects Officer
Rozanne can get you on track…literally! She could be helping you develop your outdoor access project, surveying your visitors’ views or planning your interpretation, all with a close eye on making it work practically and sustainably. With a background in marketing (fancy!), administration (scary), sustainability (of course) and outdoor pursuits (active), she’s the one that keeps us active and communicative!
Niall is a ‘mad keen birder’ and leads on ornithological surveys (especially for seabirds and in the urban environment). He contributes to all of our ecological survey work though, and is equally at home stalking around in the dead of night with a bat detector, or splashing around a wetland surveying dragonflies. Don’t get him started on gulls though…he might just convert you!
Associates
We work closely with experts that add a lot to our team…all the stuff we cant do we can find someone who can…here are some of them:
Owen Murphy – predator control specialist, watery habitats and birds and an impressive beard to boot!
Joe Proudfoot – bird lad, keen eyes, VP guru, fit as a flea
Hannah Keogh – marine mammals and birds – likes the blubber best of all
Ray Flynn (EHA) – ecohydrologist extraordinaire…and Dub
Ronan O’Flaherty (Cranebag consulting) – heritage and tourism, likes really old stuff…but does a mean line in fresh ideas
Opportunities
We like to work with new people too. If you want to work with us, on the team or as an associate, tell us, get in touch!
